Application Portfolio Management Platform

• This case study is about a global financial company. Our client wanted to build a web-based SaaS(Software as a Service) custom software application to manage on-premise and cloud-based portfolios of their internal IT software applications.
• This can help the project managers and technical executives to govern, monitor, search, analyze dependencies, and standardize processes for different IT software applications across various business units.
• In addition, this helps software engineers and managers to document their application dependencies, application architecture, business capabilities, and deployment releases as well as search for information on other applications that they want to learn about.

Our client was expecting requirements to change often throughout the project as the initial requirements were not clear and the idea was complex. They were also expecting Cogtix to perform research within their company by interviewing various leadership and gathering and finalizing requirements to build this Application Management Portfolio application. We used our Agile approach to constantly gather requirements, groom features, as well as stay flexible throughout as the client requirements change. Our client was also not comfortable sharing the sensitive IP data of their application such as application architecture and securities. However, Cogtix developed software very effectively by using sample test data throughout the development phase and allowed and helped clients to map and migrate their internal data at the end into the final product.
